See, this is where it wins for me. The 7" screens (like the Nexus 7) feel very awkward to me when I'm trying to browse. In portrait it feels too narrow and in landscape it feels too squashed. And with the way I palm the small tablets the huge bezel on the 7 just feels like wasted space to me.

With the iPad, I found the screen size to be just right for what I wanted. I was kind of surprised at how "perfect" it felt when I tried it.

Honestly a rooted and romed Android is not for everyone and I respect both platforms.
I just don't care to do that with my handheld devices. Whatever I get I end up sticking with the stock OS and want the smoothest, most reliable experience possible with lots of app support. I don't think anything will stop me from using Android phones, but at least when it came to the small tablets I found the Mini to be everything I wanted in a small tablet.

I think if I was comparing Nexus 10 vs. iPad 4 it might be a different story.

I'm not particularly a fan of Apple, but when one of their devices suits my needs I will give it a try. I'm not too happy about spending $459 on the 16GB Wifi + 4G but whatever. I liked it $160 more than the Nexus 7. Which I still might end up getting too.
