It was really hard to turn for most of the unscrewing.. that thing is on there super tight sometimes. It was a pain in the arse.

did the same thing had my wife hold the shifter with channelocks except i didnt use tape, i got this idea to use my football glove with takified cow hide grip (which she though was stupid) but it worked and i got to save the oem knob with no damage
