It's like the old stereo question what amp is best? what speaker is best? what is your budget and what are you looking to do with it?
More expensive doesn't nec. reflect better product !!! Do some work on it and you will see. Public opinion polls is all we have, no facts, no proven data , just marketing and opinions. If you want to convince a knowledgeable person that this is better than that bring facts, not opinions. I'm open to all discussion because i'm not a wheel expert so please show me.

I agree, if you aren't in the market for performance rims then recommending expensive performance rims wouldn't be a good recommendation. I also completely agree with the setting a price point and features you want and begin your search there. Also this is why I recommended to the OP that he check into the Axis wheels. They have lots of different types of styles that meet the needs of many all while keeping their prices more affordable than some of the other manufacturers.
As far as bringing facts about wheel manufacturers and features, I'm too lazy to go find the specs of different Volks vs some crappy rims but I didn't recommend Volks in the first place. You're welcome to search the forums, there is plenty of talk and articles regarding the forging process, weights, and strength.
Oh and everyone knows the best speakers are Martin Logan Electorstats! (I'm joking but they are my personal preference and I own them soo
