Oh yeah! Great point Zman! I did twist it slightly (though I could tell as soon as it did and I stopped before continuing using a second wrench). I actually had problems for about a week with the shift knob slipping out of 2nd gear before I let off the clutch

I managed to twist it back a bit and haven't had any problems since
