Not even close to what off Axis is. Off Axis is when the driver is not angled directly at the driver. This is the most common way to install anyway. In fact the tweeter would sound better lower ( say teh kick or door panel) closer to the midrange. Usually a large format tweeter is used higher on teh dash when running a dedicated midbass or a 3 way front stage.
