Some guy from Hong Kong essentially said the same thing. New 370's are over $60K USD there. He said it has to do with Hong Kong's Gov limiting the number cars on the road, the physical size of the car, the tariff, and so forth.

The U.S. is the land of abundance, our land is very large to say the least, we have copious resources...It's better for Nissan or any import firm to sell more a "commodity" at cheaper prices than to sell for more expensive prices and lower quantitiy.
