the strut tower brace and cowl removal is one of the easier parts of an intake install. If you are not comfortable with this, pay someone else to do it for you. My recommendation is try removing the cowl. If you find that easy enough, the brace is simply some bolts and a couple of clips. A torque wrench is ideal for tightening the brace when you reinstall, but just cinch them down nice and tight and you'll be fine. It really is not difficult. I do not have the answers to your other questions, which may be reasons themselves for you to have some one else install them for you.
