I would look into City Center if your looking for something that has the WOW factor. There are a cluster of Hotels there, all beautiful. f it's just two days, get the car. I would look at checking out Red Rock (not the Hotel). Nice climbing and trails there if you plan on doing anything out doors. Places to hang out: Blondies at Planet Hollywood is fun DB's as well if you like beer pong. Hard to find cheaper drinks on the strip than there. Personal friend owns them too. Go to PT's if you are looking for a local bar with a good list of food and alcohol. If you're a beer lover, go to Town Square and head to Yard House. Great food and 100's of craft beer. Good shopping as well. I also recommend checking out Fry's across the street from there if you are into electronics. If you are looking for great food places, there are a lot. My personal favorite is DW Bistro. Jamaican inspired restaurant on the SW side of town. Their jerk fried chicken is spectacular. They also use it with their chicken and waffles in the morning. Hope this helps.
