The M series is where it's at and the entry level 1 series is now at non-entry level pricing. BMW is seeing more competition than it ever has and going upmarket is only going to make it worse.

This is a classic case of BMW believing in their own bullshyt.
Im glad my daily is a 12 GTI. More power as much if not more room, actually more and significantly less expensive but by no means less quality. I guess if you must have the name plate go for it. Too many other cars that are almost if not nicer at better price points. Cant blame them for trying though, marketing can do wonders!
