You would think. It actually is still a big job. I have actually written up quite a few for replacement under warranty. The twin turbo v8 that's in the X5 750 and 550 has an aux water pump that is just for cooling the turbos. There was a recall on the aux water pump for not being efficient enough. Even with the recall for some cars the damage has already been done and the turbos suffer from bad seals bc of the added heat and the turbos leak oil. So the turbos position make it easy to notice and diagnose but replacing them still takes prob 5 hours working straight through. We are wondering if BMW will extend the warranty on the turbos beyond the cars manufactures warranty bc if not when these cars come out of warranty, that job would cost the customer just about $6500 I know it's over $5k just in parts alone to replace them
