Earlier in January I was lucky enough to get invited to go out and test Olsbergs MSE's new Supercar Lites purpose built rallycross car. It's quite a piece of machinery. Tube frame chassis, mid-engine, all-wheel-drive, 300+bhp longitudinal mounted 4cyl, 1000kg curb weight, full sequential gearbox, etc.
Took some in-car during some of my test laps. They had a basic course set up in a parking lot with cones. Mostly pavement but had a dirt switchback thrown in the mix. It was my first time driving a full sequential gearbox and it was brand new so it was a little tougher to engage the gears so it took some getting used to and I almost grabbed the hand brake once instead of the shifter
. Once I got the hang of it I had more fun than I have had driving a car in a long time!
Some good tech info and photos of the car here...
