Remove the fuse and be done with it. There is no reason to have the dealer replace it with another version, which might also fail (albeit, a lower chance than rev A, B, or C). It is incredibly simple to remove the fuse plus the peace mind knowing it won't leave you stranded somewhere

Nissan removed the steering lock unit entirely during mid-2011 production - that should tell you all you need to know about the latest revision of the SLU...
