I have used Dr. Colorchip and it does a far better job than the Nissan touch up paint. As far as deeper chips you need to fill the "crevice" before applying the paint. Try using 3M putty. I have a chip on my front bumper that I need to fix with the 3M putty. Drives me nuts everytime I wash the car.

I would not recommend putting clear bra on it after depending on where the chip is. If it is on the hood I think the clear bra will highlight the imperfection after touch up especially if it is a deep chip.

Another kit that uses 3M putty and probably does just as good of a job if not better is Applied Colors. Next time I have to buy a touch up kit I will give them a try.

Our famous deep scratch repair kit. 1000s sold.
