in the photo Econ posted.. bad idea, the vents get blocked with that design.
Also, I dont think any purist can really harken back to the round tail lights, nor should they. And i dont see how you can call them classic when they have changed 3 times?? Its like Z owners saying that a twin turbo is the classic Z setup.. when its not.. or that a v6 is.. when its not..
As Mike Pointed out the tails havnt always been round. Also the very first corvette only had one light per side instead of 2.
The fact is still that if you looked at this car you would recognize it as a corvette.
P.S also, they stepped away from popup headlamps and that didnt cause too much of a problem.
Either way, im the type of person that as long as I can recognize it as the corvette, and it stays true to its purpose (moderately prices really fast sportscar etc) then im okay as long each new version moves the car forward and not backwards.
