Agreed, it can be expensive, but if you go start piecing together a quality home entertainment system, say Polk or something, you're still gonna spend about the same. Bose's top of the line system runs about $3500, including the blue ray player/receiver. Plus the thing I like about it is that it automatically tunes the output for the best results using a feedback mic to measure the acoustics in your room. Totally foolproof. I saw this demonstration where they put a box over one of the speakers as it was playing a movie which muffled the sound from that speaker. It lasted about a second before the receiver detected that it sounded weird and automatically compensated the high end so that it sounded exactly as before. When they pulled the box off it went from super high amounts of treble back to the same sound as before again. Pretty cool
