As Tony said, its not necessary but a lot of us get it done for a few reasons. There will be people who argue that point as well saying you don't need the tune, you get almost as good of numbers with out a tune and such. The tune is not just about power. Its about balancing a car. Smoothing out the A/F ratio, bringing the mod's together to work with the car perfectly. They will work with them anyway but a tune like UpREV will definitely add nice touch. If you think about it, you spent $30k+ on this car, treat it like the nice car it is. 30 grand by no means is chump change in this economy.

and on the side note. if you go with test pipes you're going to want that tune so you don't have check engine lights all the time. The tune can shut off those sensors affected by the test pipes that will throw the codes and with the tune you wont have to worry about the way your car is running with out those sensors
