Lightbulb FYI: Curious about the 2013 bumper LEDs?

Food For Thought
While my car was at the service center I took a look at the 2013 bumper LEDs. FYI, the LEDs are Luxeon Rebel. Here's a picture of one just to show you how small it is:

IIRC, there's only 4 on each side. Price-wise, all 8 will cost about $70. For longevity, I don't think the LEDs are driven more than 700mA. However, one can get 350-1000mA LED drivers for about $15-20 each.

The parking lights in my headlight uses a single Luxeon Rebel, and it is running at 150mA for longevity and prevent overheating even with a small heatsink attached. The rebel sits behind a bubble lens:

If I were to do Version 3 of the headlights, I'll probably opt for improved heatsinks and push more current.

[EDIT] Don't try Google searching Luxeon and 370Z. A bunch of my pictures and posts show up in the results. HAHA!
