Just got done helping a buddy of mine fix his two yr old Samsung TV. They wanted $300 to come out and diagnose the problem
It wound up being a single blown capacitor that cost ~$0.85. Took about 20 min to take apart and put back together the TV. Add about 5 min for the soldering iron to warm up and replace the capacitor and we saved $299+
