The break-in procedure is documented in the manual. But here are the highlights:
  • No hard acceleration or braking
  • Don't rev above 4000 rpm
  • The break-in period is for the first 1200 miles
  • These miles should not be accumulated under constant speed but with as much speed fluctuation as possible (i.e., they want normal street driving, versus going on the Interstate with your cruise control set at 80 mph for 1200 miles, as that wouldn't adequately break in the transmission, among other things)
