That and the simple fact that, being human, every time you get behind the wheel you are taking a certain risk that you will kill or maim other people going about minding their own business. I once went with the cheapest option and got away with it but many people who had an accident during that time are 20 years along still having their wages garnished or otherwise impacted paying damages that they had a paid a bankrupt insurance company to cover. Having an insurance card is not always the same thing as being insured. Ask the billing clerk at any hospital or doctors office.

Hell even 99% of charities are corrupt with scams and excessive operational costs. The basic facts of life illustrate that anything to do with money has corruption and graft all over it and would sell anyone or thing out for a $1
