Easiest way for the calipers is to remove wheel, cover the rotor/surrounding area, prep and spray. Is it the cleanest? No. But it is the easiest as it takes the least amount of steps so that you don't actually have to remove the caliper. Besides, who'll look at the backside of your caliper anyway?
