Hey, thought I would tell the end of my story.

Got a phone call from the dealership on 12/18 to tell me that they had my spoiler in hand!!!!

The earliest they were able to get an appt for was the following Thursday after Christmas.

So I was trying to work out the logistics of getting the Z over to them for the day. Dealership is about a 45 minute drive from the house. I (nor my wife) was not too keen on having her follow me to the dealership to give me a ride home, and then repeating that later on in the afternoon. I called the dealership and they said no problem, they would have someone pick up the car and deliver it back to my house. So the following morning, the used car sales manager (who told be he only lived about 5 minutes from my house) stopped by, left me the keys to his dealers car ( a new Maxima ) and drove the Z to the dealership (pretty reserved 60 year old guy, so I presumed he didnt drive like a madman ).

Got a call around 4:00. Service dept of the dealership had just gotten the Z from the body shop that installed the spoiler. Told me no way they could be done that day (they were installing the kickplates and repairing a nonfunctional fuel filler door). I said no problem, I have a car to drive if I need it!!!!

So.........................the next afternoon, the service manager calls me to say that the kickplates were installed, but they could not fix the fuel filler door because the acuator was bad and they would not get a new one in for a few days. I am figuring "what can I do?". So I tell them OK have the used car manager bring the car to me after work so we can swap keys and I figure I will have to make an appt for the following week to take the car over and wait while they replace the actuator.

The used car guy shows up and says "We got everything fixed". When I asked him how that happened he told me that he told the service manager to pull a working actuator off the other Z they had on the lot and fix my Z.

So I give the guy props for recognizing that although it wasn't the dealership's fault that I had to wait so long to for the spoiler, that I wasn't a happy camper, and so he did what he could to make my life easier.
