Actually nissan is breaking sales records. My gut tells me finances have little to nothing to do with it. The Z hasn't sold well since its first price hike in 2010. In 2010, the car went up by $1000 on the bottom, up by almost $2k on the top. Every year the Z goes up in price. It loses 1500 units in sales. I think its a value perception issue to be honest. The 350z sold well in the middle 20's to mid 30's. If you factor in inflation. the z would sell better in the 30k to 40k range. People would find it more reasonable than $33/34k to $46k
