You do realize that only you can see your rep points and no one else, right? The amount of rep you have is only visible to others up to a certain point. The little green boxes below your "Rep Power" increase the more rep points you have, but at a certain point the number of boxes gets maxed out (which is the case for you OP). The rep power itself goes up based on the number of posts you have and how long you've been a member IIRC.
Also there aren't any forum rules saying that anyone has to give rep, it's a completely voluntary thing. In the end it really doesn't matter, so you should probably stop worrying about it
