I know Kenwood (car electronics only) are really good HU and have owned them and still recommend them. I would rate Alpine today a little less than that of Alpine of the past. I would have to think the commission is a little higher for Alpine, why else would someone really push the product?
Pioneers Z series is definitely top notch with the new AVIC X not far behind.
Once again, Kenwood is a great product, so is Pioneer……….
