I started getting that notification a month or so ago. I happened like 6 times in a week, yet I was always able to get it started, swapped fobs and started using my backup one..and guess what? No more problems.

I told him to do a search in the forum about the issue, hope he'll do and find a fix.
It'll be sucky to have the car wouldn't start in the winter, or anytime..
