Use a flat-head screw to remove the whole button, easy but the trick is you have to make sure the screw driver press the 'clip' of the ring that hold it onto the panel. Otherwise the ring will not comes off. The position you have to insert the screw driver is around 4-5 o'clock position.

After that, everything is a piece of cake.
