yah, the setups were pretty intimidating for the races. as you know even just tires we had to have all sorts of different compounds with different inserts inside...for concrete, asphalt, carpet, hot, cold, not so hot, wet?! i can't see myself doing that again. it's a lot of work just to prep the car, batteries, motor.
i guess now days it's a lot easier with the battery and motor.. .. no need to discharge, no commutator to cut, etc.

we have 4 drivers for our team at that time, running stock motor, I can make a pack last for about 10-12 mins, that's why we need much much less pit stops than the other teams
Nowadays, they use
"brushless motor" with the ESC can adjust the timing of the timing on-board, speed of the motor is equal to a 3-5 turns.... thus there's no more commutator cutting and turning, battery is easy to conditioned, even the radio control is using Spectrum so no more using that
"crystal" thing... LOL
Gosh.. I can't wait for the test drive....
