Take a 5 gallon bucket cut two small holes on each side of the top where the lid snaps down and fill the bucket with 5 or so inches of water. Next take a pop can and run a piece of haywire through it lengthwise (you will need to pop a hole in the bottom of the can) and tie the haywire to each hole in the bucket that you just made.
Take a bit of peanut butter and spear it around the can. Now put a small piece of wood leading up to the lip of the bucket to act as a ramp. Now when the mouse runs up to get the peanut butter it will jump on the can and fall into the water and drown. Works every time and you dont have to worry about only getting one, those suckers will continue to jump in till there is none left and they will leave the cars alone.
My mom has a 350Z that we parked in the garage all winter long without any sort of mouse traps or anything like that. When we went to pull it out of the garage in the spring and poped the rear truck the mice had stockpiled a huge pile of dogfood (out door dogs that were fed outdoors) ontop of where the spare tire is. It must of took them all year, there was probably a good 5-8 lbs of dog food in the truck of the car. haha.
