Chevrolet has a LS3 crate engine that is carb legal, you put that in and the managment etc... cats, and your home free, you need i think a c5 fpr. That is the only legal v8 that you can swap at this time...

its almost 8k with no work involved.


Or,

just keep it registered at your parents or whoever's house... and drive it with you current plates. Issue avoided. Within 30 days you are supposed to transfer everything over, there is no time limit on how long you can "visit." If you swap your license transfer the active car reg to your mom/dad/brother/sister, someone you can trust. They cant say anything about it unless you get a moving violation that is all they can say.
