I did my grille area down to the bottom edge on my Nismo nose last weekend. I did four progressively heavier coats.

PlastiDip is probably the best product to use for these areas as they are so susceptible to rock chips.

Something I would suggest - before you pull the masking tape off, score the edge with an exacto knife for a laser-sharp edge. It akes a very light touch and a steady hand. Just take your time.

Also, did you know this stuff touches-up great? I had a small part that I miss-masked. I shot some Dip in a cup and used a small modeler's brush to cover the bare area. The Dip flowed into the gap and leveled-out perfectly.
