without seeing the area and the damage. I would say you need to now reduce the sanding marks using compounds and a buffer. my suggestion is meguires 105 cut with a orange pad followed by meguires 205 with a white pad. That should bring back the shine then wax to protect it. take a look at the junkmans videos on youtube or on here they are a wealth of knowledge when doing something like this. I just wetsanded my car and am in the process of bring back the shine myself following these techniques. you can see what I am talking about on my build link below.;
