i will have to look into it, but some of the past models of the Z have had fiberglass crash beams in non-US versions. The 300zx has a 100% fiberglass Crash beam on the JDM models, but has a heavier, aluminum version in the US that meets the 5 mph DOT crash test requirements.

I will check tomorrow to see if there are any differences.

Update:Nevermind. The JDM bars are indeed different. But they actually appear to be heavier duty than the US models. They have some extra crash beam protruding off of it.
