MAF tubes help, but it isn't very beneficial by themselves. Adding them to K&N drop ins, the pair seems to be greater than the sum of their parts. Though as you can see from the graph Jordo posted, there is still some restriction at high rpm and the intakes are primarily the reason why the gains plateau. Keep in mind this is only in the last 1,000rpm of the power band. CAI's will not plateau until just before redline, but it's not a restriction of the intakes at that point.
