Default Got a new set of shoes!

Just thought I'd post a picture of the wheel I purchased and see what folks are thinking. More importantly, I just want to talk about the GFG Versailles 6 because I don't see many, if any at all, 370z owners buying these kind of wheels. And I understand, mainly they're known as 'bling' wheels and I'm not the kind of guy who would gravitate to those kind of wheels, either. In addition, these wheels have been out since 2003, based on what I've read, anyway, so, they're pretty old in style, but still look relevant after refinishing them.

Anyways, saw these wheels for sale locally and at first I wasn't sure, mainly because they were the 'bling' wheels, but I couldn't pass up on the insane deal since he was trying to get rid of them. I figured, what the hell, they are 3 piece wheels and forged and 20x10 front and 20x11 rear and they were exactly the size I was looking for. Originally, he had these painted red, which, in my opinion, is too flashy of a color. I thought, for the price, I could buy these wheels and have them refinish the way I want it and still come out on top.

Brought the wheels to a repair shop and had them de-chrome the lip and chose the color for the spokes a "satin-bronze" and clear coat the entire wheel. Three weeks later I got a call from the shop to say the wheels are done And the result was better than I expected. I now love the wheels!! Couldn't be happier! The design may not be for everyone, but in the end, it's all subjective.
