I used about 80 Sq ft and it made a significant difference in lowering the noise floor. If your going to do it, do the floor, doors, and wheel wells. I also used closed cell foam on all the surface areas too.

The 370Z is not a quiet car at all. The tires that come with it generate a lot of road noise. Sound deadning made the car equivelent to noise level like in a Camary or Honda Accord, maybe a little better.

I find my car much more enjoyable to drive then before. Also I have a Stillen Exhaust with HFC's which made my car much louder than stock and I had a lot of exhaust drone that drove me nuts. That's all gone now since I had sound deadning applied!

I used Rammat instead of Dynamat. Much cheaper and just as effective.
