That would work but if you want the best traction while safely driving a RWD car in the snow thinner is better. (Only case)

I look at it this way, think of snow shoes, with a wider snow shoe, you can walk on the snow with ease. Wide tires and snow, same principle. somewhat.. lol

That would work definitely, but keep those wheels fresh and just get a winter set
