For shows or industry trade purposes I can see doing , but other wise its just a waste of time and money.
Cleaning the underside of my Z helps to reduce rust of the unprotected metal parts. I coat the unprotected metal parts with wd-40 in order to reduce dirt from sticking to the metal part. So it is not for posers but for, rust protection.
