Yes, water lines can be coupled, and it will just cycle through. There is no thermostatic plate. I could not find a low profile oil filter take off plat with a thermostat.
EDIT:
It appears that an inline thermostat can be added to the system. It would be about $130, including the extra short hose that would be needed to go form the new oil filter location to the thermostat.

ps. recommendation on clutch? I read JMac88 running Specialty Z 6-puck. Is that on stock flywheel?

I hope to test fit this on a G37 in the spring. I am very very positive that it will be a direct bolt on just like with the Z.
