+1. No way I know of to completely prevent wear (other than seat covers and they can rub the seat if they don't fit well), but keeping the leather clean and conditioned will help a lot. Don't wear rough and/or dirty pants. Keep all sharp objects out of your back pockets. Don't smoke (in the car) - from what I've read, smoke is very bad for leather.
