the PSS is a much newer tire. It was released i think in 2011 and it uses their latest advances.
Michelin claims you can get 30k miles from these. I've had mine for about about 8 months and they still look like new (granted, i don't drive THAT much, but i did take a 1200 mile trip on them...)
So, if the prices are close (and i think they are) there's really no reason to consider a dated / lesser tire over the PSS IMO.
