Hello fellow Houstonian (well im from Cypress but close enough) I was looking for leather seats too but knowing the weather here in Houston where its summer 9 months out of the year leather was out the window for me. My Nismo is not my DD more like for going out hanging with friends or date night but I love to drive that thing.
I purchased mine last September 7, I test drove a base 370 AT transmission took about 15 minutes but I already had the Nismo reserved for a test drive I just wanted to compare, the base had leather interior because the previous owner had one put in, after test driving the base It was time to test drive the Nismo and WOW the overall performance was noticeable..
after reading your post if you plan on keeping the car stock with minor mods and if you have the extra cash go with the Nismo, just them being limited production for each model year is nice to know. But if you plan on changing a lot of things suspension/motor etc.. etc.. get the touring sport.
