Folks
I went to Tunerworks this morning so I could meet the mechanic himself, rather than just going through the shop manager. Admittedly, I just should have done this in the first place. The mechanic told me that he didnt have to do any modification to the tubing of the intercooler as it all fit fine regardless of it being a CDN car, albeit was pretty tight he said. Therefore, I'm not sure why the shop manager made up a story about the tubing being outsourced to have some aluminum welding modifications done...
All the mechancis I met at Tunerworks today gave me a really good impression of their skills and I realized that they're keen on making sure their customer's installs are perfect in the end. For example, I looked at LEGZ G37 this morning, and the install looked absolutely terrific. It was very clean and tidy. The mechanic wasn't afraid to point out some minor fitment issues that he will have fixed by the time the car is done, which demonstrates he is honest and a perfectionist.
Without me having to ask, the mechanics explained how great the GTM kit quality is. They said all the components we're top tier. They do a lot of high end bolt on kit installs on cars like Audi, BMW, Porsche and they said that this kit blew away most of them. I know its beaten to death on this forum how great GTM's kits are, but I'll give Sam a big thumbs up anyway
This was a long winded reply, and to sum it all up I'm more comfortable now that I have met the people who are personally installing my kit. That's important to me, especially since I'm shelling out ~$4,000 to them
Thanks guys
