If you're running stock cats, you should be ok, of you're going HFC's, you can go 12" to balence it out, and if you're catless like me, 18" resonators would balence it out the most...

Resonators from my understanding take out the higher tones, not the lower grumbling... Personally I'd go 12-18" regardless just because they help with raspiness and other sounds most of us "don't like"
Also, since they are straight resonators, they don't affect sound as much as you'd assume (don't expect that with none it's going to be deafening and with 18" inch ones they're gonna be 100% quiet, they're resonators, not mufflers)

Then again, it all depends how loud you want to go...
