One thing I did not notice anyone mentioning is that it will be difficult to get a helmet for both uses. Most SA helmets limit your vision too much to get the DOT rating and therefore are not legal for highway motorcycle use.
SA helmets add a fire resistance test for the liner that M helmets do not have, and SA helmets generally need a tougher shell to pass the multi-impact test than the shell M helmets have.
The test for M helmets is designed around one big hit and a slide. The test for SA helmets is designed around multiple big and small hits as you bang your head against the rollbar over and over then escape from a burning car.
