Basically no way is this going to be a car you push without at least 1500-2000 in mods. Already paying 35-40k for the car. It's a niche car, not a smart buy for most people.
I love the car though don't get me wrong, looks are very very important and not many can top the 370z looks.

If it's not hitting limp mode. It's doing it's job. I had 1 issue with engine oil hitting 'possible' limp mode and that was before I knew to even watch out for it. I had an RX-8 before this car and was holding the revs a little too long between shifts. With Normal driving and proper shifting it's a non issue for 95%-99% of street driving. I've driven a 400 mile trip in 95-100 degree weather with the oil temps sitting around 220-230 degrees. The point everyone is trying to defend is that the Z has issues just like every car. The problem is that this doesn't have stuff like facts and figures to actually back up the claim. They might even base it on percentage, in which case the low volume altogether is going to skew the results. The Z, being a sports car, also tends to be driven a bit more aggressively compared to something a bit more utilatarian. We can't really talk about it, but some people street race these cars or do stupid stuff like neutral drops on the AT. We all know the Z isn't perfect, but articles like this don't help buyers, they misinform without proper research. Most people are stupid when it comes to cars and will believe all this crap without doing their own research either.
