Default Testing the waters for a 2013 sport wheel trade for (09-12) in the NE.

Ok, so I'm currently negotiating with several dealers on a 2013 PW, manual with sport pkg and I'm just not into gun metal wheels, as many of you younger guys apparently are.

I love the new wheel design, but since I'm an old fart, I grew up buying cars with shiny wheels for 50 years, and have a hard time adjusting to darker (or even black) ones out today.

So I'm writing this to see if there is any interest in someone trading me a set of 2009 thru 2012 sports (in very good shape) for a brand new set of 2013's when I get the car.

And don't ask why I'm buying a 2013 instead of a 2012 with the wheels already on it. I've looked hard for a '12 and the closest one I can find in PW with sport pkg is Colorado. And it's not the distance which has me looking locally, it's the negotiating long distance problem. I once lived in Fairbanks Alaska and bought a brand new '69 Mach 1 out of Bend, Oregon and drove it home 2700 miles over the Alcan Highway (before it was paved) so I sorta would like the drive.

Anyhow, anybody interested in such a deal?

If not, nothing lost...........but if you are, let me know. And you can respond on this thread as I am not into this secret PM'ing for many things on this site. How silly is that? It takes away your competitive edge in comparing prices with your peers who are out to help you, not screw you, as are............ok, I'll leave that rant for another time.

Another thing is that I'm currently negotiating for the car, but actually won't buy one until there is snow on the ground and we are well into late December. Right now I am just doing preliminary legwork to see how low dealers are willing to go to sell a car. In four months, whatever I find out now will be a grand or more lower then. But I do have to say that I am surprised at how low dealers are already willing to go, on both 12's and 13's. Prices are pretty good, even now, and very tempting, especially on 12's.
