Default Wax my boat?

Hey guys I know this is kinda off topic but I wanted to get the experts opinion. I've got a fiberglass boat that has kinda a chalky feel to it, and it's starting to get yellow along the bottom. What would you guys suggest I use to get it fixed up? I have a 7" hook and loop sander/buffer I use and I was looking at the meguire's 7" polishing pad on amazon. Would that work? Thanks for the advice in advance
