Haha yes I know but they did a damn good job of making it seem like it was in a different culture.

I was street racing before the show ever came out and in the scene with the import tuning and showing and winining many competitions. My best was winning best of show and getting an interview on SpeedTv.

When F&F came out it spurned everyone get an import and to go racing. Thus really killing the scene due to wrecks and laws banning any thing of the like.

I know there is an underground scene now, but I am not interested in loosing my license or car now. Still like to race and show, but at the track and in moderation. I have my xbox360 and Forza, and Need for speed to take out my driving agressions.
I remember when the first one came out, I like you was into the scene and remember being extremely happy to see a movie come out that was on a topic of interest that not many knew about. Yes some bad stuff came out of it like in Houston we had car meet raids that landed some people in jail for no reason and APC wings that were the only mod on older 4 door sedans. But a lot of stuff came out of it also, like the scene growing, carshows like Nopi and HIN which have lead to bigger shows, and now a big market for performance parts which wasnt there before.
