When companies actually start doing things like this, it means they are about to kill the current chassis in a couple of years or less, and offer a new one. Similar to the new 5.0 Coyote engine here at the end of the S197 platform's life-cycle, and the LS7 powered C6 'vert. It's a last carrot to buy an aging platform. Personally, I am interested in the 390Z or whatever comes next. There are things I think need to change about the 370Z that this won't address.
Personally, I would like...
slightly longer wheelbase
better weight distribution (more neutral. My car is 56/44, and it shows. Not bad, but it's not my Z06.)
Less "give" in the steering response. It's just not very crisp. The car wallows when you give quicker inputs. Front suspension feels sloppy and has a lot of rebound.
Way better rebound control
